Frequently Asked Questions

Got questions? We've got answers.

  • What if I've never paraglided before? Is this course suitable for beginners?

Yes. However this course builds on top of the foundation module so they are designed to be taken in sequence. You can still get a lot of value from it on it's own, but if possible it's better to get the Essentials pack, where you get both the Foundation and Beginner modules.

  • Do I need any special equipment to take this course?

You can get a lot from just watching the videos, but ideally you should practise the exercises in each lesson. The best is to have your own wing, harness and helmet (or from your school). If you're just starting out or have strong wind, or groundhandle a lot, a groundhandling wing and a lightweight harness will also be very useful.

  • How long does it take to complete the Beginner module?

Different people learn at different paces. Generally it can take around an hour or less, but it depends on you, how fast you want to go, and how well you do on the final quiz.
